“Closer” is the concept for an intensive spatial experience. Based on the contrast of density and width, it depicts a walk-in object in space – an object which exaggerates the spatial experience of enclosure and offers an intensive experience to visitors.
Potential realizations include a spatial installation in an exhibition or stage design, or an application in an urban or art-in-architecture context. Isn’t it precisely these enclosed spaces that provide us with orientation? Aren’t these the spaces which are so often missing in the production of contemporary urban environments?
