The “Haus für Baukultur” – a house for building culture – is simultaneously an exhibition, an exhibition place and an artist studio. The goal of the space is to practice, reflect and evolve regional building traditions.
The alpine building culture offers impressive artistic and sculptural qualities and ought to consciously be the focus as a cultural and tourist space.
Accordingly, we have a house focused on building culture, a house which recognizes and reflects the local roots of alpine buildings. Both the exhibition itself and the exhibition space are designed to become envoys of sorts, all while providing a workshop equipped to accommodate the artists-in-residence while deepening regional tradition and promoting economic growth.
