“Innenstadt” is a building element which refers to a classic bed niche. While alcoves were often found in old farmhouses these elements aren’t used nearly often enough anymore.
The spatial experience consists of several beds pointing directly to a large room, evoking the feeling of a house within a house.
This building element has applications in living spaces: be it in a flat-sharing community, in a large family or in progressive residential projects such as “hall living.”
